The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

Join us for a discussion of this fascinating non-fiction book about Henrietta Lacks, a poor Southern tobacco farmer whose legacy lives on today through cells taken from her unknowingly.  These cells were used by doctors and scientists to develop vaccines and to aid in many important health discoveries.

Discussion will take place on July 24th at 6:30 p.m. in the First Amendment Room in Eldridge.
