June 2012

Our June selection is Half-Broke Horses by Jeanette Walls.  It is a "true life" novel based on her grandmother who led quite an interesting life through the Great Depression and beyond.  Walls previously garnered critical acclaim with her memoir The Glass Castle.

Discussion will take place on Monday June 25th at 6:30 p.m. in the First Amendment Room in Eldridge.  Copies of the book are available now.

May 2012

Our May selection is a historical novel about Eleanor of Aquitaine.  Written by historian Alison Weir, Captive Queen tells a story of England's royal couple, Eleanor of Aquitaine and King Henry II.
